The thalassotherapy spa and wellness centre is in itself a reason to visit the Hotel Solverde. This completely new complex is beautifully decorated, using natural stone and wood and contains several innovative facilities, such as the Dynamic Pool, with relaxing 32 degree Celsius sea water and directed water jets, where one can also use the submerged exercise machines, such as the elliptical trainer and bicycle. The sensory deprivation and lack of gravity in the Floating Pool and the images and sounds in the Wave Dream, are both unique experiences which ensure deep relaxation. The Thermal Zone (complimentary use for guests) contains a sauna, laconium, Turkish bath, ice cabin (ice massage to activate blood circulation) and sensation shower (with mint aroma). The hotel has an outdoor (only open in summer) and indoor swimming pool, with heated seawater. The complimentary gym contains bodybuilding and cardio fitness equipment and the hotel has 3 tennis courts (additional cost), a beach and a synthetic surface volleyball court, a mini-golf course (additional cost) and an outdoor football field in the more than 20,000 sq. m gardens. Guests at the Hotel Solverde can enquire at reception about the special offer at the Espinho Casino, which entitles them to a free drink and a 20% discount on the dinner, featuring entertainment. The hotel has free wireless internet access in all public areas and rooms. It offers, at an additional fee, laundry, 24 hour room service and babysitting (also upon request). For guests' convenience, on Mondays to Fridays there is also a comfortable free shuttle service (which should be booked in advance at reception and is subject to availability) leaving to Porto twice a day and returning once. |
